Think About the Teachers!

Shanghai-   Teachers all over China are abused and blamed for teaching fourolds! Teachers claim Chairman Mao is the one responsible for this event because he has “brainwashed” young people into thinking that any news from other countries, as teachers teach, is considered fourolds. Students are dropping out of school and focusing all their attention on being Red Guards. Teachers are only left with about a handful of students to teach and are complained about in many da-zi-bao.

   This event has started January 26, 1966. Teachers are accused of teaching fourolds and are abused in many ways. Principle Kai of Dung Li Middle School has witnessed one of his teachers being abused by student Pin Chiang. Let`s hear what he has seen today,” It was horrid Chiang was abusing his teacher by pushing all her stuff off her desk and making her pick it up!” She and all other teachers at not just Dung Li but all over China are being forced to teach only about “wonderful” Chairman Mao.

Another witness that has seen these cruel attacks on teachers is teacher herself Lei Chon. She claims that a student has written a da-zi-bao about her that says she has been teaching villainous things that go against Chairman Mao and his new laws. Let`s hear what else she has to say,” I am feeling very irritated and confused because I don’t recall teaching anything villainous.

Janitor Ding Ling of Dung Li thinks that this is a great way to teach the teachers a lesson because he has been treated poorly by kids for years and now they finally know what it`s like. Another positive thing for Ding Ling is that he doesn’t need to clean after as many kids as before.

There you have it folks these are real people in Shanghai that have experienced these things. That’s all for International Education 411!

Chairman Mao has issued a new law saying that teachers may fill kids minds only with his own educational views and laws. Kids are now dropping out of schools so they can focus on being loyal red guards rather than to turn into educated and successful men and women that have no use in China and hopefully never will. It is great that they would rather serve Chairman Mao and go against their families to forget their black status lives and start a new one, a great one with Chairman Mao’s plan to make China perfect.

In New China we don’t need children making decisions against Chairman Mao. Kids are probably sick of being treated like their filthy black family parents who have committed many crimes like having fourolds in their houses. These kids finally have the choice to live their lives the right way!

Many people may object to Chairman Mao`s plan of perfecting China and their opinion no longer matter for they will be punished if they disagree with the genius that is Chairman Mao! Most of these people are from the black families because they are jealous that we, red class citizens are better than them in so many ways such as not having a landlord in our families!

That proves that Chairman Moa is right about everything in our law decisions and the black class families deserve to be punished for thinking otherwise. Most of their children have made the right choices!

Religions in China

Sense the Cultural Revolution many students dropped out of school and became Red guards meaning they most likely had to abandon the religious beliefs they had grown up with. This was not only for the Redguards but for nuns and other religious characters. Nuns were treated with no respect because most people followed in Chairman Mao`s rules of forgetting old culture and old ideas and others were afraid to say anything against Mao. Before religion was “against the law” the religion people had belief in was mainly Buddhism. Buddhism is a religion based on enlightenment from stress or suffering from desire. One of Buddha`s sayings is,” Let us all be thankful for today, for if we did not learn a lot, at least we learnt a little. And if we did not learn a little, at least we did not become ill. And if we became ill, at least we did not die. So let us all be thankful.”

Confucianism is also a religion based on the teachings of Chinese philosopher Confucian. This was practiced (and still is) during the Cultural Revolution. Confucianism was most likely to be banned also. One of Confucian`s sayings is,” Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.”

A Daily Life with the Chin Family

We woke up to the warm air of Shanghai. Is been months sense its bean this warm. Mother, Father, and Ming are already at the breakfast table waiting for me.  We have grain flakes for breakfast then it`s off to work for Mom and Dad and off to school for me and Ming.

It`s just another regular day at school but teacher lingpo was out and that’s not like her. I`m sure she just got a cold or something and didn’t want to spread it to us kids so she stayed home for the sake of our health. After school I picked up Ming from the downstairs part of school were the younger kids classes are. We were walking home when we saw a skinny tall man wearing a tight green uniform and holding a red book in his hands and Teacher Lingpo. The man was yelling at her about filling student`s minds with information going against Chairman Mao. Teacher Lingpo wasn’t the only one there other people were there too I’m guessing more teachers because they were all being criticized by people about illegal education. I didn`t know what was going on so I just walked home with Ming. I didn’t want to interfere with something and then get in trouble.

At home I made Ming and I some snacks. We ate and played and did our homework while waiting for our parents to get home from work. When Mom and Dad came home we prepared a nice shrimp, chicken and rice dinner. We sat and prayed to Buddha before we ate then talked about our day and when I mentioned to them about what Ming and I had seen while walking home from school, everything went silent and Mom and Dad looked at each other quietly.

I don’t know what that was all about but today we are going to the park for a picnic at the park as we usually do. This time Mom and Dad seemed very jumpy and on the lookout for something and I was eager to find out. I often heard the word “landlord” come up in their conversations.

I started snooping on them and though I didn’t quite understand this but they were talking about the governments rules and Chairman Mao`s rules and the consequences of being a landlord. That was weird because there is one thing I know and it is that my grandfathers are landlords.

Time past and things got worse. Our family was in some kind of “Black Category” list or something. The kids at school who were in a Red category would tease us and take our stuff! Soon going out in public was a problem. Eventually we stopped going to the park because of this situation. Our family had been searched by the Red Guards for any fourolds. I don’t know how this will end!

Q: Why did you decide to marry Chairman Mao?

A: Well I am very interested with Red Guards. I also think he has great leadership abilities and sense I am mayor of the communist party of China and we are a great match!

Q: why are you so interested with Red Guards?

A: I think it is a great idea to have everyone in China equal and I want to be part of the act.

Q: How are some ways you’re helping in this act of equality?

A: For starters I have a very high ranking for a Red Guards. So I search houses and make sure people are not keeping fourolds that make others think they are better or more high class than them.

Q: Did you ever think of this as a negative thing for China?

A: At first I thought it might be hurting families but then I thought at the end it will turn out perfect and that these are just a couple bumps in the road.

Q: If you were your husband would you have done anything different?

A: I can honestly say that I would have other plans for china. I would have let more education and information come from other countries so China could grow stronger. I know we can do it if we had the chance to.
